Teachers Don’t Burn Out: Free Resources To Help You Save Energy, Time, and Money

April 5, 2019 Leave a Comment

shutterstock_150977375Is your energy  running low?  Are year-end responsibilities leaving you pressed for time?  Still spending your own money on supplies and making sure everything gets done right in your classroom?  Of course you are, because you rock! You deserve recognition and a little assistance.

How about a little help with your lessons and classroom activities?  We want you to make it across the finish line without burning out!  Don’t worry, it won’t cost you a penny and all you need is your computer.

Would you like to have a celebrity read a story to your students while you get to grade papers and correct assignments?  Well, you can when you visit Storyline Online.  You don’t have to tell anyone if you end up using this site for yourself to fall asleep at night.  Or you can brag to your friends and family about having Betty White reading you a story and you would be telling the truth.  Kindergarten teachers, how about a little help teaching reading with phonics?  Check out Starfall for some great ideas.  Elementary teachers, want to strengthen your students reading comprehension abilities?  Visit Into the Book to see how Wisconsin teachers help their students.  ESL teachers, here is a fantastic site for language instruction, english-zone.com.  High School and Elementary teachers, for free lessons on a wide array of subjects, check out Discovery Education, and Brain Pop.  To access Brain Pop, just enter your school code.

Other great sites worth checking out: Scholastic, Kids Discover, Kids.gov, and the Teaching Channel.  Lastly, did you know that the most famous cat in America and possibly the world is also a Professor?  It’s true!  Garfield the Cat is here to help students and teachers.  Visit Professor Garfield to learn more.

I hope this post helps you to save some of your energy, time, and money. Summer is right around the corner, finish strong!  Best of luck with the rest of the school year and please feel free to share any comments, resources or helpful ideas with us below.
