Do You Wish You Could Just Focus on Teaching?

Spend a few minutes surfing the internet or social media and you will find out that teachers have a lot more on their plate then just teaching.  Being a successful teacher is not an easy job!  It takes devotion, preparation, attention, creativity, compassion, perseverance and so much more!  Unfortunately, it seems that there is no shortage of political issues that appear to be making the difficult task of teaching even harder.  Just type in common core, school choice, and merit pay into your search engine and you will have your hands full.  If you want to spice things up even more type in Wear Red For Ed.  That search title will bring you face to face with the most pressing political issues facing teachers, students, and their communities.  What political issue is impacting you most and how are you and your colleagues dealing with it?  What do you wish to see happen with Common Core and School Choice?  Do you have a different political issue you wish to address?  Teachers, this is your space and place to share what is on your mind.
